ADD an Iphone to CUCM 7.x and above

  • Use a SFTP/FTP server to upload this file to the call manager.
  • In the Call manager window, go to the “CISCO UNIFIED OS ADMINISTRATION” and then click on SOFTWARE UPGRADES -> INSTALL/UPGRADE.
  • Click on next (fill in the FTP/SFTP details) and let it get uploaded and installed.
  • Once you have successfully installed the file, restart the ccm server and you might have to restart the tomcat service manually by logging to the server via SSH.
  • One you get back your ccm up and running, you can add a new iphone device by going to DEVICES->ADD NEW-> CISCO DUALMODE FOR IPHONE.
  • Make sure your iphone device name starts with TCT (eg: TCTJOHN).
  • You need to assign the SIP DIGEST username form the drop down menu.
If you guys have any doubts, just drop in your queries in the comment box and I might be able to help you out (if anyone bothers to read all this..lol ). I just finished adding an iphone in my LAB. Here is a screenshot from the iphone.

    Hi Fadhu,

    I cannot find this file whatsoever for the iphone through the link you provided. It brings me to a Oar file which in the readme states is for the BB only.

    Also Do I set TCT%USERNAME% anywhere within CUCM or is this only needed in the mobile client?

    are you using this with Mobility Advantage server?

    hey there,

    in the link mentioned above, check out the 8.0(1) version. thats the one for iphone.

    and abt the TCT%USERNAME%, that should be the device name(instead of the MAC address of normal IP Phones).

    and I am not using any mobility adv. server in here. its just for normal CUCM+iphone scenario.

    It seems i dont have privilege to download the file , i get this "To download this software you must have a valid Technical Support Services Agreement associated to your Cisco.com user ID."

    Hi there, I'm using CUCM 7.1.3, Iphone 3G, with CUMC 7 and I cannot seem to authenticate properly, can you post your config of CUCM for this to work?

    No, If you could post your CUCM Config that would be great. I have CUMC 8 running as 7 is a different version all together.

    Mobile 8
    CUCM 7.1.3
    Iphone 3g running IOS 4.

    I can connect but authentication fails.

    Thx for the cop file , i uploaded and it worked , i connected my iphone to cucm 7.
    But i can't figure out how to make the desk phone integration feature to work .
